WHERE I COME FROM

Born in Corry, PA and growing up with a family on the move, I've lived in various states and foreign countries, including Belgium, Denmark and Japan. Thanks to my education and work abroad, I'm fluent in Portuguese and very familiar with Brazilian culture, and also have some command of spoken German, Russian and French. I believe in giving back to the community and have volunteered time at my local church and worked on construction crews with Habitat for Humanity.

When I'm not building or teaching, I enjoy spending my time camping, hiking, snowshoeing & skiing. Member of the Deschutes River Conservancy and Oregon National Desert Association.

MISSION STATEMENT

Rebuilding Our Foundations For Better Education.

School shutdowns and the lack of full-time, in-person learning have been devastating to our children and their futures, but the problems with education pre-exist the pandemic.  It is incumbent upon leaders to consider the complete picture, accurately assess the key areas for improvement, and propose solutions to increase outcomes for all students.
